Adveniat: for whom?
 Who can stay at the Adveniat Youth Hostel?
A member of the La Ligue Française pour les Auberges de Jeunesse (L.F.A.J.) (French League of Youth Hostels), The Adveniat Youth Hostel is open to one and all.
In order to stay at the Adveniat Hostel, one must possess a youth hostel identity card. Such a card gives all foreigners access, for one year, to all youth hostels in France.

It is possible to buy one upon arrival at the Adveniat Hostel.
We do not accept minors (under 18 years of age) unless accompanied by an adult.
The Adveniat Youth Hostel is overseen by a Catholic religious congregation but one and all, believers and non-believers, Christians and members of other faiths, are assuredly welcome.. |
Is there a minimum stay?
No. Nevertheless, for groups, our fees include a surcharge of 2 euros per person for stays of only one night.
For individuals, the Adveniat Hostel accepts reservations for up to five consecutive nights. Beyond that, we will extend one’s stay only if there is space available and only once one is already at the hostel. |
LODGING
What methods of payment are available?
You can pay for your stay by using a French bank check, a credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or in cash. Credit card payments can be done over the phone or at our secure site under the rubric SECURE PAYMENT.
At registration time, a document of official identity will be requested (passport or identity card): student identity cards or driver’s licenses will not be accepted. |
When should one arrive?
The reception desk of the Adveniat Hostel is open every day from 8-10:30 A.M. and from 4 -10 P.M. |
Should I keep my room key during my stay?
The Adveniat Hostel uses magnetic keys which you can keep with you..

When do I pay the balance of my bill?
| The balance for your stay must be settled upon arrival, at the time of registration.. |
WHAT IS IN A ROOM?
When can I occupy a room I’ve reserved?
| Rooms are made available once they have been cleaned, at 4 P.M. |
Do bedrooms have baths?
| Yes, every room has its own bathroom, with toilet, shower, and sink. |
Do I need bath linens?
The Adveniat Hostel does not provide bathroom linens or toiletries.
For those who forget these items, they may be purchased at our store. |
Do rooms have televisions?
| No. However, there is a TV room available at the hostel. |
Should I bring sheets and blankets?
| No. We provide a set of sheets and a cover for each bed. |
SCHEDULES
What are the hours of operation?
We welcome you every day from 8-10:30 A.M. and from 4-10 P.M.
The doors of the hostel are closed from 11 A.M.-4 P.M.
Between 11 P.M.-8 A.M. only those who already have a key may enter the buildings. There is, therefore, no curfew. There is a night guard on duty at the hostel. |
When must I leave my room?
| Rooms must be vacated by 10 A.M. |
I have to come back late one night; will the hostel be open?
| If it is not a question of your first night at the hostel, you will be able to open the main door of the hostel with your magnetic room key. |
What is the latest one can arrive?
| The reception desk is open till 10 P.M. |
MEALS
Is there an additional charge for breakfast?
| A continental breakfast is always included in the cost of a night’s stay. It is served as a buffet, self-service. |
When is breakfast served?
| Breakfast is served from 7:30-9:30 A.M |
Does the hostel provide meals?
The hostel provides breakfast only.
However, a furnished kitchen (ovens, hot-plates, refrigerator, four microwaves, regular dishes, casserole dishes, and frying pans) are available to our guests from 4-10 P.M.
For groups we can provide, on request and for a charge, at the time of registration, frozen meals that can be reheated.
Snack machines as well as hot and cold drink machines are available.
The common room bar, open from 8-10 P.M. sells snacks, hot drinks (soup, team coffee, hot chocolate) and cold drinks (soda) but no alcoholic beverages.. |
SERVICES
Is it possible to leave my bags?
| A baggage room is available the day of your arrival or departure. It is free of charge. |
Is there a place to leave valuables?
| The administration of the hostel will not store any valuables. However, lockers are available free of charge to store whatever you may want under lock and key (you must bring your own lock). |
I s there Internet access available?
| You will find two stations with Internet access in the common room and there is also access through WiFi, all for a charge. |
CHILDREN
Is there a minimum age for children?
| Our rooms are not equipped to receive children under the age of three. |
Is there a special fee for children?
| No, we do not offer a special children’s rate. |
FEES
Are there variations in fee based on the length of stay or mode of reservation?
| All rates are identical no matter to whom you may speak at the moment you book your reservation, whether the night before or months in advance. |
What is the most inexpensive fee?
For individuals and families (up to 6 people), the rates depend on the number of beds in a room. Rooms with 4-6 beds are less expensive.
Rates are less expensive during the off-peak tourist season (September 15-April 30).
For groups (7 or more), rates vary according to the day of the week as well as the month of the year. |
Do fees include taxes?
| There is a single tax in effect for a stay, whatever the length (1.55€ per person). |
CANCELLING A STAY
Something has come up; can I cancel my reservation?
You must notify the hostel as soon as possible and send us an explanation for the cancellation:
