Paris has a rich religious history and patrimony: Notre Dame Cathedral, the Sainte-Chapelle, Sacred Heart Basilica on Montmartre, etc. Numerous other churches, not as well-known, dot the capital.
All of these monuments attract thousands of tourists. But these are not simply some historic vestiges of the past like many others!  These churches were built by men and women of faith. That’s what they wished to convey and often did so using codes, symbols, and language that are not always familiar to us today. Don’t miss on all that these monuments have to say to you!
